It's the Little Things

With our first mortgage payment under our belt and the first set of bills including several security deposits and start up fees, we are a little strapped for cash.  We've been living very frugally lately, bringing lunch to work every day, eating at home every night, turning down requests for happy hour and avoiding the mall at all costs. In 2 weeks we'll be back on our feet again but in the meantime I've been thinking about all the little non-material things that have the ability to make me so happy and excited!

A few things that make me smile:

Cuddling with Cooper

Cooking dinner with Dave while listening to good music

A homemade margarita (mine are better than most restaurants)

Sitting in the living room with the windows open because it's so nice out

Doing laundry at our new house

This is the first picture we took in the new house, also the first thing we did, laundry!

When you go from not having a laundry machine for 2 years, to having the top of the line washer and dryer you get excited!

A big bowl of guacamole

A phone call from my family

Receiving anything in the mail that's not a bill
