I know a lot of you have been wondering what's up with me lately? The ole blog has suffered b/c I just haven't had much goin on. We're trying to save our skrilla for our big trip in a couple of weeks so we've been entertaining ourselves at home most evenings.
Here are some of the highlights as of late:
Last Friday we had drinks with some friends in Norman and enjoyed the Springlike weather on the patio until the wee hours of the morning.
The Real Housewives of Miami started this week and so far I'm a fan. Adriana totally reminds me of Sofia Vergara on Modern Family. Did you all watch?
I got a new purse for our trip finally! Isn't is cute!?
I'm SO excited for the premiere of Bethenny Ever After tonight on Bravo! I have a SERIOUS girl crush on her, I think we'd be bffs if we ever met. Her conversations with Jason remind me A LOT of Dave and I's. Check out a sneak peak of tonight's episode and tell me how much you love her too!
Oh I better go pick up some more Skinny Girl Margarita to celebrate this tonight! :)
Also, have any of you read Reality Steve today!? Holy Spoilers Alert! He's been wrong this whole time apparently... you MUST go check it out here if you haven't already! Gotta say, I'm pretty pleased with the news. I've been a big Emily fan the whole time, I just wish they would have aired more of their time together that wasn't so awkward!
We have been playing a lot of tennis lately! The weather has been perfect!
Hopefully this beautiful weather will get me out of the February Funk and back on the blogosphere!
Do you know what today is?? Well - Happy National Margarita Day!!!
You all know I looooove margaritas, so I thought I'd share my personal recipe for making the perfect margarita today! Not to be confused with my recipe for Skinny Margaritas, this one is not skinny. But it is Oh So Delicious!
This recipe makes a pitcher of margaritas (about 4 servings) Ingredients: 8 ounces of clear tequila (the clear is important to the taste and I've noticed less of a hangover with clear tequila) 1/2 can frozen limeaid 2 ounces orange juice (I use this instead of Cointreau b/c this girl likes to shop and not spend $30 on a tiny bottle of Cointreau) 1/4 can of beer (this helps balance out the tartness of the limeaid) lots of ice Blend until it reaches your desired consistency. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge, and Enjoy!!
PS - I tried Bethenny's Skinny Girl Margarita that I picked up at the liquor store, it's pretty different, I liked it. I had to add a little water to it and some fresh lime wedges b/c it was verrry tart. Have you all tried it? What'd you think?
Ann Taylor Loft - Benson Ring Detail Sandal - $69.50 but save 25% this weekend with the code PRESIDENT - they come in 3 colors and look pretty comfy! I'm definitely thinking about pulling the trigger on these.
Isn't this so Kate Middleton engagement announcement?? I think it'd be great for just about anything you might have coming up like a bridal shower, baby shower, graduation... the possibilities with this one are pretty much endless.
I bet you didn't know that I dance with my dogs... I typically camp out in the kitchen while I'm cooking and wait for the food to need me again by listening to music and drinking wine.
Sidenote - I wish that my iphone would realize that I'm cooking dinner and am not in the mood for Snoop Dogg to pop up on the shuffle. Save it for Old School Rap Friday afternoons please. One day they'll come out with a "smart ipod" or maybe I just invented it? Anyone good with technology crap? contact me. We'll go into business and start selling our idea around. Then before you know it. Bam. I'm retired!
Phew, settle down Christine you're WAY off topic... If you're still reading, I'm impressed, gold star reader goes to you! Yay!
Back to reality, I re-created a pizza we had at UpperCrust one night and while I was waiting for the pizza to cook I think it was Ray LaMontagne that came on and I got the urge to dance. Lil Coop Dogg wanted to join me. So we danced in the kitchen.
Don't worry, I danced with Nigel too.... until he tried to bite my hand.
Don't worry, he's not a mean dog, his previous owners, Dave and his old roommate, just used to think it was funny that Nigel hated having his paws touched.I think he's scarred.
Ding! The pizza's ready, Nigel and Cooper were saved by the bell!
In case you care, this pizza was Deeeelish and it had the following on it: a little marinara, some scattered scoops of ricotta, chicken, sauteed red onion, jalapenos and mozzarella. Try it, you'll love it!
(yes this screenshot is from today, but the weather was the same!)
Last night the weather was perrrfect for dining alfresco, so we enjoyed some of the below after playing some tennis in the crazy wind. At one point I was in the middle of a leaf tornado, but it felt good to be back on the court!
How have you all been enjoying this awesome spring weather? And by you all, I mean you ALL, I see you all reading and not commenting. Let me know who you are! I bet we'd totally get along and be bff! Plus if you comment, chances are I'll write you back something totally witty! If you're still just here to creep then you're in luck - I added a link to my twitter on the side - check it out! Follow me and I'll try to entertain you through all venues of social media! :)
I recorded Jay Leno the other night b/c Lady Gaga was on and was pleasantly surprised at another segment on the show where Jay had The Situation interviewing people on the red carpet of the Grammys/Grammies ? which is it? who cares.
This was actually really funny! He might have a career after Jersey Shore after all...
Were you pleasantly surprised also?
Also, if you're not reading I'mBringingBloggingBack and you watch Jersey Shore, Any of the Real Housewives or Teen Mom 2 then you MUST start! This guy is hilarious!
Hubbs and I are going to dust off the tennis racquet's tonight and then enjoy some Big Truck Tacos and cervezas! Loving this weather!
The snow is finally melting and the sun is shining bright! I hope I can officially retire my heavy coat...(prob not quite yet) but I'm still daydreaming.
Here are a few things I'm lusting over in this gorgeous weather:
I'm thinking both of these would be perfect for Spring Break in Barcelona.
Have any of you ever ordered clothes from VS? I've only ever ordered their swimsuits. How is the sizing if you have, I don't want to order these and they end up being tight instead of loose like the pics.
Also loving this Free People dress, looks super short though.. I dunno?
How freaking cute is this print?! Thanks SO much to Toni for sending it to me!
I musssst have this!
I saw these on my latest trip to Target and fell in love.
Purchased the swimsuit! (PS - why do their bottoms run SO small? Good thing I tried these on b/c I was WAY off on the size I needed)
Still eyeing the shoes... I can't find an occasion I would wear them? I'm very much a flat sandal or wedge girl... So, here's where you all come in, please help me justify these beauties. What's the perfect occasion for these?
We celebrated with pad thai to go and red velvet cake balls!
Love Love Love!

I'm back from the dead (or the flu) it felt like death for a few days though. Man I'm glad that's over! Phew!
Thanks for all the get well wishes! You guys are the best!!
Since you were so nice I will give you my one post for the week that I know you all appreciate most: Friday Faves!!!
The best way to transition to Spring in my opinion, is to mix in some short sleeved tops with jeans and sandals.
How fun are these sandals? They're the definition of casual summer to me. I see myself sporting these with the white dress and brown backpack to the Art District's 1st Friday, drinking a Stella and listening to street music. Ahhh Summer's near...
